Blessing Journey
An adaptive game for learning the blessings before food. Children choose the blessing for clear everyday foods; when one blessing is repeatedly difficult, the game pauses for a short lesson and later checks it again.
What your child learns
- Tell apart Hamotzi, Mezonot, Hagafen, Ha'etz, Ha'adama and Shehakol
- Connect a clear food with its blessing instead of memorizing a list
- Get a short rule and examples exactly where mistakes repeat
- Return after teaching to a real recall question
How the game works
A round has ten new questions, one answer each. Repeated difficulty with the same blessing triggers a short teaching card with a rule and three examples; later the blessing returns as a review question that does not inflate the score.
Who it is for
For children who already read Hebrew, roughly age 6 and up. Especially useful for a child who knows the blessing names but still mixes up which one to choose.
For parents
The first pack deliberately uses simple, unambiguous foods. Mixtures and condition-dependent halachic cases will be added only when the condition itself can be stated clearly to the child.
What language it is in
This page is in English. The game itself is in Hebrew — the subject being taught is Hebrew, so the letters, the vowel marks and the recordings stay in Hebrew.
How progress is saved
In this pilot, adaptive learning is kept through the round and retries during the same visit. Child-profile progress will be added after the learning loop and content are validated.
